1. Scottsdale Estates

2301 N Miller Rd, Scottsdale 85257 (Eldorado Aquatic & Fitness Center)

This South Scottsdale neighborhood is approximately 2 miles south of Old Town. The area will give you a general look and feel of what many of the neighborhoods in the zip code of 85257 will look like. It is a mix of older homes originally built in the 1950s/60s that have also been targeted for updated remodels and full tear down with new construction.

Home buyers in this area love the location due to its close access to Old Town Scottsdale, Tempe/ASU, Downtown Phoenix and Sky Harbor Airport (just to name a few). When it comes to being in the center of everything, this area is difficult to beat. It’s also a very popular destination for short term/vacation rentals.

2. Hy-View

Search Hy-View via GPS (located off of 64th St and Oak)

This South Scottsdale area/neighborhood is just east of the Phoenix border and directly next to the Arizona Cross-Cut Canal. This hidden community is popular among locals for its unique design characteristics and style; it’s great for those who are fans of Mid Century Modern style homes.

Homes in this community were originally built in the 1950s/60s but have undergone a significant amount of remodeling and restoration updates throughout the years. Hy-View also offers a premier location just south of Arcadia Proper and within 2 miles of Old Town Scottsdale.

3. Arcadia Proper Scottsdale

(West of 68th St between Indian School and Camelback)

4330 N 62nd St, Scottsdale 85251 (Echo Canyon School – within neighborhood)

This Phoenix/Scottsdale neighborhood is one of the most highly coveted communities to live within Arizona. Originally developed in the early 1920s, Arcadia Proper Scottsdale has been known for its large estates, lush greenery and citrus tree lined streets that have attracted families for decades.

It has now become of the most prominent communities for brand new custom homes and continues to attract some of the most affluent buyers within Scottsdale and Phoenix. You will not find a better location to call home.

The Scottsdale Country Acres is a south Scottsdale neighborhood just about 1 mile East of Old Town Scottsdale. This area is in a prime location and neatly tucked away in a community that has limited traffic due to Camelback ending at Pima Rd.

Homes in this area were originally built in the 1960s and have also been targeted for major remodel and/or new construction due to area demand. In addition to the close proximity to Old Town, home buyers have easy access to Chaparral Park, McCormick Stillman Railroad Park, Salt River Fields and so much more. This neighborhood has become a very popular destination for short term/vacation rentals.

(E of Hayden Rd between Indian Bend and Shea)

7639 E Via Paseo Del Norte, Scottsdale 85258 (Comanche Park – within neighborhood)

McCormick Ranch is a Central Scottsdale Master Plan Community that encompasses over 50 different subdivisions. It offers residents a diverse range of amenities, architecture and home values. Homes in this area were primarily built in the 1970s/80s but many of them have been significantly remodeled throughout the years.

This is another location that is extremely desirable due to its walkability, lush landscape, greenery and overall charm. It is also home to the McCormick Ranch Golf Club with two 18 hole championship courses that are available to the public. Home buyers in this neighborhood will have easy access to all of the best Scottsdale has to offer including Old Town, Kierland, Scottsdale Quarter as well as a large number of shops and restaurants directly within a mile of their home.

Similar to McCormick Ranch, the location of this community is hard to beat with easy access to every prominent area within Scottsdale and close proximity to the 101 freeway.
